Why Ishan was crying in the end?

Whenever I get chance, I go and see movies alone in theatres. I search perhaps none other than me, answers like what could have been me? In all those characters I try to find out me - the one who is totally copycat of me. "Yes! See even he paints in the math class and not just me." - that gives a lot of relaxation. Since days and weeks that character makes you happy that you are not the sole soul to do it and that effect remains in your mind till a next movie telecast the insides of yours. Yes! Bollywood makes me realise what I am! Sometimes as SID from WAKE UP SID, sometimes as RAJ from DDLJ, sometimes as DJ from RANG DE BASANTI, sometimes as AADITYA KASHYAP from JAB WE MET!

"TARE ZAMEEN PAR" was one of them. Like others, I didnt expect that movie to please me but just like others I cried inside innocently. Questions came in mind and shot like an arrow - "What have we done with our life? with our childhood? something which was too straight and is it that we made it too complicated to come back?"

It's 10.45 pm a sunday night and that movie is telecasted again. I believe that few questions till you answer it remains somewhere in the back office of your sub-consicous mind as it is. Life gives you red signals (Omens as rightly pointed out by Paulo Cohelo in his book - The Alchemist). "Solve it and go further!"

Question is why Ishan crying in climax? He won an award for the best painting. A painting which was going to be printed on the front page of school drawing books. A painting that every child coming next will see and inspire from it. He won and every one, yes mark this every one, clapped for him when he was going to receive his credentials from his principal and still crying?? He made his teacher see defeating. He proved it he is not dumb, fool or crap but crying??

I dont know you guys observed it or not but Ishan wanted nothing but appreciation. Recognition! Applaud! Cheer up! Not to become number one in painting or in other field of life but for his self respect. He wanted his acceptance by the people around him just the way he was. A painter! An observer! A learner though slow but much involved! Not as a calculator or a techno! Did you see him first hesitating to stand up when he was announced as winner? Why should not he hesitate? In fact, appreciation is something that he never got. He was not used to it. His parents and teachers has flooded his mind with rejection. A sheer rejection!

His teacher (Aamir Khan) was more tactful just like Krishna in the Mahabharata. Krishna knew how to make his student being get appreciated, being get rewarded and applauded amongst people. Actually, it's a weakness of human mind that it feels more self confident when more than one human being says it so. He never tries to raise his confidence himself. Though we can not blame a child to build such high will and confidence. Else, how come is he a child? That's the role of a master, a teacher.

Ishan hugged his teacher tightly because his teacher who made him realise who he was! He made Ishan being applauded for his painting - something that always being insulted. There's an Ishan in you and me as well. I know when I write this you can feel that Ishan inside! He cries out everytime his being insulted or rejected. We better find a teacher like Krishna. Should not we?

P.S: Acceptance makes you realise you are as same as others. Most importantly "Respectful!"

Motor Cycle Diaries 2

Again I had a bright dawn! Drowsy morning (in fact at 9.30 am late for few) and I had started my office journey. A dusky under constructed road was throwing sand in my heavy eyes. Few human movements only found. I see a client in each people I visit these days. That’s what business makes you. In fact, I am in profession but how many times I remember it? Neither I nor do anyone else does.

Suddenly I saw the same old man I met last time with the same complete white attire added with a blue cap. Weather was showing some monsoon signs and it was not that hot still he was wearing a cap and that may be because of his old age. I was in hurry and so I had to take U-turn to reach to him. His shaken old voice hurriedly hit my ears – Atmajyoti Ashram, Beta?” I – “Oh yes. I was just...!” Before I complete he had already taken the back seat with the help of putting his right hand on my shoulder. See, again I was driver of the UNINVITED DEVDUT.

Inside I was happy. My selfish mind had started thinking about a beautiful wealthy day being a reward for this sacred help. I recalled the last times good happenings. That temple was not even half a kilometre away. “Please leave me at the extreme opposite of the temple.” – His voice was pleading. “Jay Shree Krishna Beta. Aavje!” Once he glared at temple and don’t know why he got some spiritual swift in his legs and he rushed inside. I turned back and confirmed he is going inside as I heard somewhere in mythologies that god comes in any ways or souls. If he is the never-found-unimaginable-super human being (god simply), I would not like to miss that opportunity. In fact, I got some questions inside to ask him.

5 seconds after I was on my way.

Shall we cry?

I was reading Shekar Kapoor's blogs and he wrote about "Sorrow". I took almost an hour to think whether I should write on "Sorrow" or "Sadness". Perhaps, there is no logical reason I have.

Do I actually need a logic behind that? No because we born with cry. Crying is a flow of Sorrow - a powerful force. I have not seen babies born through my naked eyes but I have seen enough films. Sadness, yes, unfortunately it feels but comes very naturally with we human beings. Shekar Kapoor has rightly related sorrow with monsoon because he says it drenches you out from your single hair to your whole body. Sorrow is an emotion of great sadness makes you realise an absence of supernormal energies. Those energies are named by us as God or divinity. Take any literature sorrow is always hated. Sorrow is also a powerful force just like darkness. Wonder why? Sorrow or darkness creates hopes, opportunities, desires, anxiety, curiosity and yes everything which is a positive drive. Sorrow on the other way around a direct indication of existence of happiness somewhere. It is existing as equally and as strongly as happiness.

One should not be pleased to be sad, though unfortunately he/she is, though because of no reasons, though because no one else but he/she, but he/she should at least thankful to sadness as that's only wakes him up to move to light, energies, god or the whole universe you call it. Remember, it's the earth which is moving and not the sun. Sun is always brighter but when it is not there then darkness clouds on earth. There's an importance of both - Sun & Earth! Sorrow & Happiness! Darkness & Light!

So don't be so sad when you feel sad. Enjoy your being sad!

Motor Cycle Diaries 1

One more experience of life and one more time I try to understand it.

9.15 AM and I was on my way to a new week's first day office. Riding bike is always joy especially you love observing people when you drive. There's so much to concentrate and learn seeing people in the market. I was on my own world and before I take a turn a 70 year old gentleman asked to stop there. He was on the middle of the road shivering due to his age. He was in complete white kurta-paijama like those of devdut. This was not the first time happening in Baroda. You wave a hand and people will give you a lift.

He hurriedly asked - "Can you drop me at the nearest temple?" I - "Why not? Let me come on the corner of the road." Before I complete, he was almost ready to climb my bike. He pulled his shivering first leg on my bike and I almost lost my balance. I asked him to let me control first but perhaps he was hurry in meeting god. I chose silence. Just like any other time.

Now the SAVARI (ride) had started. I was careful like I was driving with a child or a girlfriend. He didn't utter a single word till the temple arrived. He left my bike with these words - "Drive slow. DHYAN RAKHJE. JAY SHRI KRISHNA."

I show him slowly entering temple and started my journey back. Now mind had started working again. Fresh morning, good cause and wish this turns out to be a very good day. Good mind - Why should I demand happy moments against a good cause? Doubtful mind - "What's wrong? You helped someone. You got right to." Good mind - "So your selfish mind has started again huh!" Doubtful mind - "If you make someone happy don't you feel happiness should take U-turn as well and come to you?" Good mind - "Is Inner satisfaction not enough?"

Leave those stupid minds. They are like tom and jerry - never ending.

Later that night, I was going to my uncle's home and at the same place one mid-40 man asked for lift who wanted to catch a rickshaw from the nearest stand. My motor cycle diaries continue...!

Equations changed and still All is well.

TIME - gives you an opportunity to think and then rethink!

Before 5 years -

Son: "Give me 300 dad!"

Dad: "Just yesterday you took 200. What are you doing it with?"

After 5 years -

Dad: "Hey, how's your work going on? Just Tell me, when you need money!"

Son: "Oh no dad! Where am I going to spent it?"

Equations changed and still All is well.

Earth Block outs! Do we need to watch out?

"2012 - an End of earth!", "Volcano eruption!", "Global Warming" and now scientists have something new to scare! Take a look at the picture - A fire ball is coming to earth warranting heavy rain of fire. Tsunami that we have still not forget and now the calamity is from sky. Where will we go?

Do you remember my blog "A planet collusion or just a fantasy!" See, how strange that dream is almost a reality. Earth block out prediction is something very similar to that where two planets are going to collide and I hope it never comes true.

In fact, I laugh a lot when these predications are revealed. Day in day out I meet new clients and few professional friends. We professionals are always like first make the client come to you in all wrong ways and then take handsome fees. Take any one of us - doctors, accountants, engineers. Is this the time for scientists to bank on their predictions and start earning like we all professionals? May be yes.

Though I will never believe them even if they prove it. I am an optimistic and can not think about weakness and death. Thinking about death every time and worrying about it's arrival is nothing but death itself.

Fight fear fight weakness and fight death!

On that 4 feet high stand!

On that 4 feet high stand,
Remember...?
You a short but sweet girl,
had no long legs to land!
You were too busy in counting marks,
and stupid...!
I was counting on you!
7 o'clock and on that cold breeze,
lazy you were, late to school,
1st raw and I never missed that seat,
and stupid...!
I died watching you come late!
Who had exam tensions?
All about you and your sensations!
Fake were my SMS doubts,
and stupid...!
that's how I wanted love to mount!
Each time when you left school,
sliding your bag from left to right,
I wishpered you turn back,
and gimme a look
and stupid...!
not just for a look,
I wanted you some love to cook!

RAJNITI or MAHABHARATNITI?

Yesterday night I saw RAJNITI. A film highly inspired by MAHABHARAT. It will be an injustice to compare the film with MAHABHARAT as it is one of the holiest books of India having more complexion and coverage about dilemmas of life. Film has covered lot of tricks and tact of politics. Casting is awesome, script is solid, picturisation is beautiful and few scenes are really horrible especially the killing scenes of the upcoming and assured election candidate from families.

While getting a seat few families sacrifies too much blood and so many lives, they forget everything - justice, own family, public at large and the worst they forget is huminity. They are white blodded in fact inhuman to lead the nation. They are surely good question raisers to opposite parties but undoubtedly looser while actualy solving the same. Who knows whether they truly deserve to lead the nation or it is nothing but heredity (or family pride or business) to occupy the election seats. They hardly remember WHY they are in polictics? What do they want to prove? Lets blame ourslef as well, as we never tried to know about an entry in politics and never entered as well.

We are far from it knowing it's a hell but perhaps those families making their life hell and then becomes rule the nation.

This movie has surely raised so many questions to my ever thinking mind. What does drive these people to lead the nation so passionately? Answer can be patronism. Surely not I can see. Are constitutional powers and money so powerful that they cry for few days on which they lost their own in playing such games, go back to parties and trap themselves more in that? If I get a chance and get a book on Gandhi family, I surely find it out. Curious as always!
