What is so courageous that only men can do?

Men will never understand true values of life unless he goes through the rituals of death. Women are more emotional and courageous as they give birth to a child, man might not be able to even see it, in fact not allowed to be present during this time. On the contrary, what is so courageous that only men can do and where women are not allowed to? Funeral!


Yes, it takes hercules courage to convince mind and stand as an eye-witness against death rituals. Only men can do it. Strange but so true that both men and women are made courageous for different reasons. Women, the most beautiful and emotional human species, becomes witness of birth and men, the most solid and logical human species, becomes witness of death. This leaves no doubts why human being needs both the species and their characters equally.


My grandfather, a truly courageous and always smiling gentleman, has left us few days back. We, young followers of him, have to receive a lot from his life. Having courage and soft heart together is a rare achievement. I have seen my grandfather standing alone in the toughest time which shows his courage and crying happily in the celebrations which shows his pure loving soul. He would have never complained about his health or life and I always found him content in whatsoever condition. I have no doubt why we are  courageous seeing his genes. Where we all are busy managing our own lives and many times get afraid of the challenges life throws, he becomes inspiration for us as he managed his own life, his brother's lives, his children's lives and grand children's lives too. He is certainly a root of this giant tree and will come back as rain from time to time to nourish our plants.

Life comes with energies, enthusiasm, powers, love and care. Life evolves with slightly less energies, enthusiasm, powers, love and care. The more we grow, the more we loose all these values and we realize life is not going to take any of energies, enthusiasm, powers, love and care. No matter you are a king or a governor, you are going to face an electric boiler which will only leave few pieces of bones and ash. We all will have to raise our standards of life to maintain and pass on the bestowed energies, enthusiasm, powers, love and care to everyone who come across in our life considering we will have only bones and ash to leave after death. 


May soul of my grandfather rest in peace and he always remain in our spirit and will.

પડઘા

તપતી રેતી પર ઉઘાડા પગે ચાલુ છું,
છું અહી જ પણ ક્યાંક ખોવાઈ જતો લાગુ છું.
દરિયો પણ મારા મનની જેમ અશાંત બન્યો છે,
જાણે અજાણે બે ઘડીનો દોસ્ત બન્યો છે.
સમયના આ થોડા પલ જ્યાં એકલા લાગતાં'તા,
મારા પગલાઓ ત્યાં છાપ ચાર છોડતા'તા.

ઉંચી ટેકરીએ સુરજને નિહાળું છું.
આંખોમાં આંખો નાખી એની ગરમીને પડકારું છું.
કેટલું ટક્યો એ ખ્યાલ નથી,
પણ આંખે અંધારા પડતા'તા.
જ્યાં ડગ્યો હું ક્ષણભાર માટે,
જોયું તો માનસ હું એક
પણ પડછાયા બે પડતા'તા.

આ ગડમથલથી થાકી જવાઈ છે.
મને મુક્ત થવું છે.
જ્યાં મેં મારા અસ્તિત્વના ઘડનારાને બુમ પાળી,
"તું તે વળી કોણ છે?"
ત્યાં બોલ્યો ફક્ત હું ને પાછળ પડઘા બે પડતા'તા.

Today's Advertisement work

I am a big lover of television. Who is not? 

Advertisements plays a vital role in running the television world. I was wondering if now advertisement world should take a turn and think what should be served on the floor and what is not?

Though I hardly know about Ad-world, advertisement has lot to depend on choices, tastes and frequent updates in civil ideology and thinking. This weekend when I was watching television, I felt almost more than half of the advertisements of various products and services either sold through seduction or intellectual. I still wonder a powder making company is trying to sell powder by an advertisement concept based on seduction. Funny and foolish!

Take a chocolate, mango juice, cold drinks, cosmetics, deodorants and other young generation products, all are based on seduction or intellectual theme. Remember the Mentos chewing gum Ad? The tag itself is "दिमाग की बत्ती जला दे". Chewing gum is made a symbol of intelligence where as chewing gum is in public or formal places is considered as a bad manner. On the other side, Katrina Kaif eats Choc On and drinks Aamsutra i.e. Maaza and trying sell these products which are largely consumed by children below 13-14 years. 

I grown up seeing the Ads of Dhara Edible Oil with that of taste of Jalebi where a child leaves the house and return with a note "जलेबी खा के जाऊंगा"! I also recall a very strong line of NIRMA SUDDHA NAMAK "घर का सारा कम मुझे ही करना पड़ता है, सफाई भी शौपिंग भी। सुद्ध नहीं समजते क्या?". The all famous cadbory tagline too - "कोई भी काम शुरू करने से पहले कुछ मीठा खाना चाहिए, कम अच्छा होता है!"

We leave certainly an unwanted impressions and image on our children through advertisements. Censor board needs a re-look in publishing such advertisements creating a child to think on other side of his life.

Curse can make you worst, is it?

Good and bad has own cycles. One comes, another goes. Another comes, former goes. 

In this ever running cycle of good and bad, we start judging people - good people, bad people. 

"He/she should not have said this/that."

"He/she never wants me to be happy."

In fact, no one wants harm to happen. It is the harm what happens. We need to understand and learn that harm happened not because someone said. Someone's saying is one event and happening of harm is another event. Harm has its own timing, happening and it is always uninvited. 

It is unfortunate and worth to note that some people believe on curse and feel happening of bad has a strong relevance with someone else who don't like them or who envy them. Now these people who believe that curse can make you worst, have very little faith on god, divinity. The moment curse has been given undue emphasis, the other side of weighting machine where god and divinity resides goes down. The trust reduces, the devil is being worshiped unknowingly.

There is no better challenge than to be human. We have a mind and which has no stop button. We got a heart and certainly pause-less. We need lot of courage to think on how we should response to bad, in stead of who is actually behind that cause?
