10.30 AM. I am on the way to site from the guest house by car. We are in the Ranga Reddy (sounds like a Ram Gopal Varma movie, isn't it?) district of Andhra Pradesh (AP) very nearer to Secunderabad. The district is not much populated than urban areas of AP. You find lot of scattered jungle area and few beautiful lakes here and there.
What do catch your eyes in AP are the dazzling colors. Hoardings, shutters, school walls, ambulance, bikes, clothes anything you see are of dark blue, yellow or red color. They just love yellow color. Anything which will NOT suit with yellow, they will mix. Have you ever seen a hospital hoarding (plus signs, remember?) with yellow color. If not, see right.
Just like the curve of "y" in yellow, AP people sounds curvy. They can not digest a heavy bulk of rise if they don't curve or enlarge the "Y"..........YYYYAN-MAND-GAN-YAYYANJAT...!
Even hoardings are not readable for you till you see products inside. One of the hoarding was having a picture of the local god wearing yellow scarf, red TILAK, yellow jewellery, red DHOTI and black short blanket. "Is he Govinda, the famous actor?" I could not stop joking. "He's Venkataraman Subramanyam, our sacred god!" The coconut headed driver had an angry look on me. I realized the value of my degree today, else, he might have shown me a sparkling knife and killed me there itself.
That yellow, red and black color god would be angry on mankind of all part of this state. The secret I found here is no god has made man. On the contrary, secret is, it is the man who has made god the way he wants him to. The way he likes to. Else, which god would like to dress like Govinda?
"Who is the favorite hero, here?" I asked to him just to let me feel some comfort (or I wanted to nullify what I said last just to protect my life don't know?).
"Rajnikanth, sir!" he had a pride in his voice. "All Tamil people worship him. There are lots of temples of him and you can see his photo in each house. Earlier, Chiranjivi was there but now he is in to politics." I could sense the Tollywood (Tamil movies) impacts on his face, in fact, I could see on the whole state.
It would be of no worth to ask him the name of prime minister because everything surrounds him was Rajnikanth. If he finds out messages in my mobile on Rajnikanth jokes, I will be found killed in any of the highway nearby. I can not repeat my mistakes. There's kind of an urgency and swiftness anything they do whether its wearing glasses, opening the car door, moving from one place to another or anything. They will keep you abreast that you are in the State of Rajnikanth.
