I often don’t know what to ask for since I feel I have been blessed with so many good things and more importantly good people.
The only thing I could think of is to wish everyone to be content and happy.
One would say that how could one become content and happy all the time?
Of course, it’s not an easy trait.
Happiness or being content is an inner state of mind. It requires complete awareness of presence and remind oneself that one wants to be happy and content all the time.
First exercise is to make one’s heart happier. The happiest the heart, the happiest the mind!
Stop worrying to develop a happy heart. Don’t carry a baggage of expectations from you or people around you. You’re a human after all! You might be clever in your own right but there’s universe much bigger and more capable than you which has survived before your arrival and will still survive after your existence. What that means is that things are taken care of. Believe in it, have faith if there is ever a god and you believe in him.
If you think you’re clever and worrying for people around you then stop. Advise them, let them carry their own worries, suffering is good for them because only suffering will lead them to success. Krishna did that to Arjun and let him fight his own battle. He could have won the Mahabharata on his own without the help of Arjun but then he would have failed to explain or experience to Arjun what it takes to fight.
Hope this makes sense. Work on your peace and content this new year! Happy new year!
