A motherland which cry against the idiot box. A mass who takes a game seriously than border movements. A religious hub where even humans are god and yet all saints and MAHATMAs are being killed here. Movies are not just a piece of roll film in fact results into public walk out.
I am from one of them. Proud to be of course! 24 beautiful years it has been. If you ask me “Who is the father of Akbar?” I may not know but yes I know a lot about people of India. More about middle class people. Sorry again to all my school teachers! What I am looking for is why India is so emotional? It should be or not I leave it right now but why? Why don’t we become ruthless and leave a bomb in our neighbouring country instead of just emotional discussions? Why don’t we stop loving and praising our poverty and think to be rich? Why do we appreciate hip hop and pop where we have our AALAPS all so deep and wonderful? Why don’t we give up praising players who don’t perform and found lunatic in pubs? Why don’t we have a PM of less than 40 years?
Perhaps being emotional got no reasons. If it has any reasons behind it will not remain emotional than. It would be practical, logical or rational otherwise. Something I hate is someone calls me practical. Those who say they are practical are perhaps failed in relations, making love or getting love. Thankfully, I am not one of them. I have people to love, I have people who love me. Without reasons, without logics.
If again I come to why we are so emotional? - may be the ladies in my home and my life can better comment on this. Women are always more emotional than men especially if they are Indian particularly if they are married and undoubtedly if they have children. No less emotional answer I am going to get from them.
I am leaving this question open. In fact, trying a lot to reach to that conclusion. Perhaps an 8 hour sleep leaves an answer to my subconscious mind or let someone someday some moment convince me.
Well, I am none of those girls to say ‘Being a girl, I am VERY emotional’. I am no more thinker who can go to the bottom and can find an answer to it, but I can try to find an answer from ur write up itself.
ReplyDeleteDon’t know about the mass of people, I think u are right to say in general people are emotional perhaps because they don’t act practical, logical or rational. For me, when it comes to stop being emotional, I have to make my mind convinced by finding some rational behind it or taking a shelter of the statement, “Lets be Practical yaar..”
I still differentiate being emotional & emotional fool. I believe that being emotional is not bad as far as its not about being emotional fool…!!
